A meta-analysis of a total of 12 single-center studies confirmed that hyperuricemia is associated with increased risk of adverse clinical outcomes after PCI for ACS [19]. Unlike previous reports, we performed a multicenter study involving a contemporary managed ACS population, well balanced between STEMI and NSTE-ACS.
