Various serious skin reactions to valdecoxib have been described in publications and/or reported to drug control agencies (SEDA-29, 122), including exanthematous skin eruptions, purpura, and systemic allergic contact dermatitis(50A, 51A, 52A). Exacerbation of pre-existing carpal tunnel syndrome has been attributed to valdecoxib (53A).
